NCBPA ACQUIRES IACET ACCREDITATION!

Subject: Exciting News: Northern California Backflow Prevention Association Achieves IACET Accreditation!

We are thrilled to announce that, effective October 1st, 2024, the Northern California Backflow Prevention Association (NCBPA) will officially be an IACET (International Accreditors for Continuing Education and Training) accredited organization! This prestigious accreditation is a mark of excellence and recognizes our commitment to providing high-quality educational programs that meet the rigorous standards of the IACET Continuing Education and Training (CE/T) Standard.

What This Means for Backflow Tester Certification and Cross-Connection Specialist Courses

With IACET accreditation, our Backflow Tester Certification and Cross-Connection Specialist courses will now offer Continuing Education Units (CEUs) that are recognized internationally. This means our training will be more widely recognized for its quality and credibility, making your certification even more valuable.

How This Impacts Our Members, Private Testers, Municipalities, and Other Water Purveyors
  • Members: You will now receive CEUs that are widely respected and often required by employers and regulatory agencies. This enhances the value of your certification and ensures that your professional development meets the highest industry standards.
  • Private Testers: The IACET accreditation means that your certification will be recognized by a broader range of clients, expanding your job opportunities and professional credibility. It may also help in fulfilling continuing education requirements for maintaining your certification or licensure.
  • Municipalities and Water Purveyors: Having NCBPA as an IACET-accredited provider ensures that your employees are trained to the highest standards. It also means our courses meet regulatory compliance requirements, giving you confidence that your staff is receiving top-quality training.

This is a major milestone for the NCBPA, and we look forward to continuing to provide our members and partners with outstanding training opportunities. Thank you for your ongoing support, and here’s to raising the standard of backflow prevention education across Northern California!
